CMC Carlos Cortéz Exhibit - José Guadalupe Posada

Speaking on the intense struggles of Mexican immigrants through art and editorial content in a union newspaper was Carlos Cortéz’s passion. He conveyed messages of intense social problems and human compassion through his works, which will be on exhibit this fall at Colorado Mountain College’s Aspen Campus gallery.

Cortéz was dedicated to the Industrial Workers of the World, also known as the IWW or the Wobblies. It was one of the first labor organizations to organize Mexican workers in the southwestern United States.
